Terms of Service

Date of Enactment: December 6, 2025

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for using the application (hereinafter referred to as "this App") provided by the TapTrans Operation Team (hereinafter referred to as "the Team"). Users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") shall use this App in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Applicability)

  1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships related to the use of this App between the User and the Team.
  2. By using (including downloading and installing) this App, the User is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2 (Service Content and Characteristics of AI)

  1. This App is a service that translates PDF files using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
  2. No Warranty of Translation Accuracy: The Team makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the translation results generated by AI. Translation results may contain errors (mistranslations, hallucinations, etc.).
  3. For translations of important contracts, medical information, life-threatening information, etc., do not rely solely on the results of this App and be sure to have them verified by an expert.

Article 3 (Prohibited Acts)

In using this App, Users shall not engage in the following acts:

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals.
  2. Acts of accessing this App or using the translation function using automated means (Bots, scripts, spiders, etc.).
  3. Acts that place an excessive load on the server or network system of this App.
  4. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or analyzing source code.
  5. Other acts that the Team deems inappropriate.

Article 4 (Paid Plans and Subscriptions)

Some functions of this App are provided as a subscription via Apple ID.

  1. Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  2. Automatic Renewal: The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
  3. Billing for Renewal: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
  4. Management and Cancellation: You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal from your iOS "Settings" app after purchase. Please note that uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
  5. Free Trial: If a free trial period is offered, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Article 5 (Restriction of Use and Cancellation of Registration)

  1. The Team may restrict the use of all or part of this App or delete the User's account without prior notice if the User falls under any of the following:
    • If the User violates any provision of these Terms.
    • If an excessive load on the system is recognized, such as making an abnormal number of translation requests in a short period of time (violation of fair use policy).
    • If the Team otherwise determines that the use of this App is inappropriate.
  2. The Team shall not be liable for any damages caused to the User due to the restriction of use based on the preceding paragraph.

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

The Team shall not be liable for any damages caused to the User arising from this App. However, if the contract between the Team and the User regarding this App (including these Terms) constitutes a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act, this disclaimer shall not apply.

Article 7 (Changes to Terms of Service)

The Team may change these Terms at any time without notifying the User if deemed necessary. If the User starts using this App after the change of these Terms, the User shall be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms.
